BEHIND THE SCENES

The magazine was created in the year 2014 by Ania Orlowska of theorlowska.com

Ania used to travel a lot and lived in the Caribbean, in Trinidad and Tobago. After coming back to Europe her soul was longing for the sea, sun and sand lifestyle she experienced there. The magazine was born to be able to stay in touch with the island lifestyle and creativity. Firstly focused only on The Caribbean, expanded its' reach to islands around the world. Ania wanted to share the beauty of the islands and this dreamy island lifestyle many love and long for.

Teaming up with Amsterdam based creative organization - Bassculture Foundation - which Ania once was a part of, she included the magazine under the umbrella of this foundation. Working with a team of creatives like photographer Kerron Riley who gave his creative input, she continues to find and invite artists and individuals to be featured in the publication. Moreover, she continues to share a bit of paradise with the world while inspiring people everywhere to live more creative lives.

Today Ania would like to thank all the individuals who were involved in creating this magazine: Kerron Riley, Marko De Pender of Bassculture Foundation, Emiel Martens of Caribbean Creativity, Lina Komin, Jorge Cumbre, Che Geofroy and all the artists who contributed their stories and artwork.
